Ground Yourself!

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Grounding is a simple connection between you, the earth, and a higher power.  It keeps you focused and in a present state of mind.  It can help you feel more present, calm anxiety, ease depression and assist with preventing intrusions from outside emotions.  We all can tend to take on energy from things and people around us, grounding helps to protect you against those influences.

I ground and center myself before every reading I do.  I make sure that in each session only the energy from Spirit, guides and those coming thru with a special message for my client are present.  I ground by envisioning a ray of light, like a rope, flowing out of my feet into the earth below.  I then allow that ray of light to connect deep in the earth, it then flows up toward all 7 of my chakra centers spinning them in clockwise motion to align and open them to receive whatever energy is needed.  The light then comes right out of my crown, a beacon connecting to God, by doing this everything that I receive is from the most pure energy source.

Easy ways to ground yourself:

Put on your favorite music and sing at the top of your lungs, take your shoes off and walk through soft grass,  spend time in nature, watch the sunset or sunrise, watch your favorite feel-good movie, take time to do something for yourself, stop and notice the sounds around you, focus on the positive things in your life, look for rocks or stones that call to you, take time to meditate-if only for a couple of minutes, speak kind words to yourself, or take a hot shower or bath and let the water wash all the stress away.

If you try this everyday soon it becomes so easy that you’ll know when you need to ground yourself by the way you feel, those feelings of being off, extra anxiety or unexpected emotions can be eased.

Healing

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

The last few months have been full of ups and downs, but the process of going through all of that has brought about so much learning and healing.

Healing a marriage, a family, but most importantly healing myself. This journey has been grueling at times but much needed and by no means is it over, it’s a continuing process. I feel the need to express this more in this blog so here it goes…

I have spent much of my life trying to be somebody everyone likes, the people pleaser, adapting to any situation trying not to make waves. I’ve been so busy trying to be everything to everyone else I lost myself. Many things that have happened in my life have shaped that part of me. I experienced rejection from a very young age. That made me feel like to keep people in my life I had to be what they wanted because I wouldn’t be wanted or accepted if I didn’t. I have had this urge to be loved and liked at all costs. As I’ve grown and life has evolved I realized I needed to stand up more, but was always afraid of losing relationships if I did. I was rarely being true to myself and what I needed.

I was at a point not too long ago that I had my fill. I felt like I needed to make a change. I stood up for myself and put my needs first. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. I was telling someone I loved very much that I could no longer be quiet. My voice needed to be heard. As it turns out that brought about a much needed change and healing for them as well. It sparked an internal desire for them to improve and be the person they needed to be. I realized that to give love fully and to be truly loved I HAD to use my voice.

Keeping my feelings buried for so long started to bring on physical ailments. So I began the process of healing emotionally and physically. I have always believed in a mind, body, spirit connection and what I was going through is proof of that. I have had anxiety and depression my entire life. Instead of dealing with the emotions as they came I just wanted to be numb. I have tried probably every depression medication out there just to put a band-aid on something that I needed to express with my voice. It feels good to finally do that and I am glad to say that I don’t want to be numb anymore.

To heal me and my family, I began working with an energy healer….I know this isn’t main stream but then again I’m not either, I see dead people. I was given a gift that has helped many and I felt like I was at a stall, I couldn’t help others no matter how hard I tried until I worked on myself. In working with my sweet friend Linda I have discovered that my gift could become stronger as I released many of the old issues and junk from my past and was given validation thru Spirit that I needed to be just where I am today. In her gift of healing and helping me I have found and enhanced my own special talent. Not only do I have a voice, but I have a connection with the real me that I truly believe has been dying to come out for a very long time.

I have always believed that people come into your life for a reason I’m so grateful for this crazy ride and the people I have to share it with. There have been many lately that have gone above and beyond to help and strengthen me when it was hard to even take the next breath. I feel so blessed to have so many truly caring wonderful family and friends in my life.

So what’s the moral of this story? Use your voice! Stand up for YOU! If people want to be in your life they really will do what is needed to stay, if not let them go. I can take care of me and I am a better mother, wife, friend, daughter, sister and medium for it. If you are struggling and need a hand, please let me help! Let me use my gift and what I have learned on my journey to help ease your burden or maybe offer some help to work through it.

Lots of love,

Sage for Good Energy

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Everything is made of energy. From a simple stone to the highest mountain. People are a bundle of ever-changing energy. Our chakras store and release energy from our head to our toes.

Just as we are, spirits are made of energy too, some good and some heavy. There are spirits everywhere. They are closer than anyone realizes. Their energy can be so strong that we can sense it. It can even influence our emotions at times.

I have gone into many homes and have seen what energy can do to an individual or family. Without knowing we can take on negative or positive feelings from an unseen source.

I had a good friend introduce me to the process of saging after I had an experience with a negative energy. I’ve used this process ever since.

I suggest always opening the saging with a prayer. Asking God, the universe, whatever you believe in, to let only positivity dwell with you as you sage.  Then crack open a window on every floor of the house. After doing both of these things, begin at your front door and work always to the right as you go through the home. Make sure to get every bit of space from the largest rooms to the smallest closets, even bathrooms. As I sage I speak affirmations and repeat things like..

“Only positive energy is welcome here, all negative energy must leave.”  You can add things like, “let this home be a place of safety and learning” or “let love and light into our home”. As you do this you will know exactly what to say. Let yourself be open to promptings from your guides and higher power. When you are done you will feel the difference in the air. Almost instantly your own energy and that around you will feel light.

When should you sage?  If you feel heaviness, or suspect spirit influence. Sage for good energy to be with you about every 3 months or so. Sage if you’ve had change in your life like a breakup, or a reunion.  It’s so good to create balance, there’s not a wrong time.

I am always available to help with saging and energy work. It’s one of my favorite things to do.

Love Always,

Relationships

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

I’ve had so many people contact me about problems with relationships. We often question our path when we are being pulled in so many different directions. Whether it is a mom being over critical, father-son strained relationship or husband and wife not seeing eye to eye, never forget your feelings are valid.

Don’t ever let anyone make you feel less than the strong, wonderful person you are.

We spend so much time with family trying to make our opinions count, or bickering about something very trivial.

Whatever it may be, remember to make every effort you have to be true to yourself and try to see within you if a change needs to be made. If so make the most of the time you have to be better. Small steps can be a huge advance towards a peaceful goal.

Never underestimate your own worth, your thoughts and opinions matter. Respect, love, and kindness go far with making amends, big or small. When your intention is for good you can’t go wrong.

Be Thankful for the Small Things

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

This is a time to give thanks. Many give thanks for family and friends, health, even fun things like Diet Pepsi or chocolate.

I feel as though each day as we look around we all have so much to be thankful for. Even things we cannot see or quite understand.

I have many people ask about where their life or job will be in the future. Sometimes I see good things and others I have to try to share news that can be disheartening. But what I’ve learned is whether good or bad it’s always something that changes us. Makes us stronger or teaches a lesson. Change moves us, how we accept it and act on it determines the impact.

Be thankful for the small things for one day they may be what you long for. A hug from a loved one, the scent of fried chicken cooking, or a simple phone call to brighten your day. Take in everything, watch the sunset, take a minute to tell someone you care.

Know you are smiled upon and loved. You have loved ones all around, even the ones you can’t see that watch over from a far. Be thankful for what you have, express it in our own unique way. Live your life with purpose, a thankful heart and take chances, you’ll be glad you did.

My Craziness

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

As young as I can remember I have been afraid of the dark. My grandpa used to tease me that I could beat a light out when I left a room. I probably slept with a teddy bear until I got married so I wasn’t alone. I have always dreamt very vividly. In fact, many times I cannot tell the difference between reality and my dreams.  I would often tell my grandmother about experiences I had and she would say “I know how they do sis”. She would say how she would have visitations in dreams or hear the back door close when she was the only one there.

My brother Joel, ten years younger than I am, got dragged to every movie about ghosts that came out.  The poor kid! We would talk about experiences we had. My room in the home we grew up in was haunted. He only spent one night in it after I moved out and would never sleep in it again.

In 6th grade I met my dear friend Amy, we would spend hours talking about sightings and feelings we experienced.  In fact now we hunt ghosts together for fun.
When the love of my life Jason and I got married and started to look at houses to buy, I would tell him instantly whether or not the house we were looking at had a ghost in it just by walking through it. Turns out, it didn’t matter what house we bought, spirit always had a way of finding me. It wasn’t until recently I learned how to help them.

In fact, for a time, I would tell anyone who would listen to me about my stories of the paranormal and loved hearing their’s. I felt more normal knowing I wasn’t alone with what I could see and feel. Then ,through life changes, I stopped talking about it. In a way I closed it off because in new settings it wasn’t so easily accepted as it had been.

One day, out of the blue, I got a messages from an acquaintance on social media. She knew things about me she could not have known. No Facebook post I ever made could have led her to what she knew.  My response to her was, “how long have you had your gift?” She replied, “my whole life, how long have you had yours?”

I had a gift? She seen it and believed in me. She has been instrumental in me opening up more about my craziness. I have in recent years been very selective who I open up to about this. Afraid of what people mighty think or not being accepted.

As time progressed, I started to see spirits connected to people. Loved ones of their’s that were coming through to relay a message and give guidance from heaven. In fact, what brought me to doing readings happened completely by chance.

I decided to go to a different lady to get my eyelashes done. I was laying in her chair and had only known her for about 10 minutes when her grandmother’s spirit came through so strong that I couldn’t not acknowledge it.  I said “your going to think I’m crazy, but..” And there it began. I didn’t know this sweet lady. I had been referred to her by a friend.  She was open to me and my gift, and in turn shared her experience with her friends. That chain of events is what led me into all of this. After receiving many referrals and having people contact me I decided it was time for me to get my own website, blog and start sharing with others to hopefully help them in some small way.

I have to thank the people who have supported, loved and encouraged my craziness, my gift. A special thanks to those who have let me into their lives to share this gift.  To those who are weary, I welcome your questions. As you read this, maybe you can relate to what I have described, or maybe you are a skeptic?  Either way this is me. This is who I am.

If we never step outside ourselves how will we ever know our own potential?

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

I look at Ashley and think “she’s so talentented, she can sing, she’s beautiful, she can do this and that and this…. “…. Everyone has someone they think this about. What makes me so special? How are my talents or gifts any different than anyone else’s? I am here to tell you they are!!!
You are special! There is no one like you!  No one can do what you do. No one else has your smile, laugh, or way of making a friend’s day just by a simple hello.
It’s ok to take a chance. It’s ok to go after what you want. It’s ok to find what makes you happy and follow that dream. That doesn’t mean you drop everything you’re doing now. It means start small, make a plan, talk to someone for advice, maybe me? Lol.  If we never step outside ourselves how will we learn our own potential? You have it! That special something that makes you, you!! You are amazing! You are special!  You are loved!!

One Last Moment- Lesson on Forgiveness

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

If you were to approach this bench and take a seat, having the chance to choose someone you have lost in your life to be there, who would you want to sit with you?  What would you say? What questions would you ask?  If you had one last moment with someone close to you, would you bring up an argument or pick a fight or would you take in every word, and make every syllable count?  Is there something you left unsaid that you now regret?

Too many times we waste energy on petty things, grudges take up too much space that can be used in more productive ways. Take a look at what you value most. Make amends wtih those people in your life that may have caused you feelings, or that you may have crossed. Many times we have things that have separated us because of a hurt feeling, or misunderstanding. This can be our biggest regret if not settled. Life is short. Look at what matters. Forgive where you can. Make peace with yourself, and with your loved ones here now. Live without regrets. You’ll be much happier knowing you’ve done all you can when you had the chance.

Making Life Changes

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

This year has been one of much change for me, career, personal growth, and spiritually. Most times when we face these things we learn who we really are. Self-discovery often comes in the midst of hard choices. We must look inside ourselves at what we want, what makes us happy and why we are on the path we are on. There will always be twists and turns. How we handle them makes us who we are. You can choose to be happy, choose to be strong, choose to make your life what you want. Follow your heart. Trust your first instincts. They won’t lead you astray. Whether you’re making a life change, a career change, or taking that turn in the road that you never expected, you’re never alone! You have many loved ones, guides, and people pulling for you. Know you are loved. Change is hard, choices can be difficult, but you can do it! I believe in you.

Shielding Yourself from Negativity

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Have you ever noticed that just being around another person who is having a really bad day can make your day turn negative? Other people’s negativity can affect you without you even knowing it.  I want to share something that I have learned that really helps me avoid this most of the time.  I use this every single day!  This is especially important to learn if you are an empath.

Close your eyes.  Picture a huge ball of light radiating from your forehead.  Feel it start to encompass your entire body.  As it encompasses you nothing can penetrate it.  While the light encompasses your body all of the thoughts you have become positive.  No harmful thoughts or outside sources can hurt or influence you.  You feel the peace and warmth from the shield comforting and protecting you.  Hold this image in your minds eye as long as you need to.  Ask it to continue to shield you from negativity.

As you continue to practice this shielding method it will become second nature. You will be able to put up your shield within seconds.  You can do this when you are anxious or feeling negative energy coming from someone or something.  Your shield can encompass your children, your husband, or others in need.  I do this when I am worried about my family or uneasy about something concerning them.  I also do it at night when I meditate so only positive things surround me.

I hope this helps you!
